Trying to publish a thought-out and genuine post weekly may have been ambitious, but I was hoping I’d maintain that pace for a little longer before breaking my streak. Unfortunately, I’ve spent the last two weekends out of town for a family emergency. I won’t go into details, but my wife’s grandfather passed. He was ready, and we’ll see him again in the resurrection, and I’m glad I can be there to help her and her family through the process of grieving their loss and celebrating his life.
That, along with some other things in the margins, has cut into the time I’ve been writing for this blog. I have some partial drafts, but nothing I could polish to my standards in time for the Tuesday morning slot I’ve been using. Rest assured I’ll post again, but only when it’s ready.
I should also use this opportunity to set expectations. As I said, a weekly post is ambitious for my standards and the amount of time I’m dedicating to this blog right now. So in the short term, expect a couple posts every month, but not necessarily weekly. That could change in either direction if the opportunity arises for me to dedicate more time to this blog or if I take on a more in-depth project.
While you’re waiting for the next post, there’s still plenty to do. Find someone you love and hug them, or find someone different and learn what you have in common. I’d appreciate hearing from you. Maybe you have thoughts to share; I’d love to read your comment, or send in something you’d be curious to hear my take on. I’d also love feedback about the blog, the time I post, or anything else really. If you have enjoyed my thoughts, I couldn’t thank you enough if you shared them with someone else.
I’ll do my best to get a post ready for next week. Until then, grace and peace.
